Nike's 'Back to the Future' self-lacing shoes
To be unveiled in 2015
Back in 2011, Nike released a replica of the iconic footwear worn by Michael J. Fox's character Marty McFly in the 1989 film - Back to the Future II - that featured 'power laces' which tied themselves at the push of a button.
The replica of the shoes Nike created were called Nike Air Mag and featured a glowing LED panel, an illuminating Nike logo, and a battery power of 5 hours between charges, the only missing element was that the laces did not do themselves up automatically.
However in recent news its been discovered that the self-lacing shoes are to become a reality, as Nike designer Tinker Hatfield said: "Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!" - leaving trainer fanatics around the world hopeful for 2015.
