Victoria Beckham releases capsule eyewear collection

With a decidedly desert-like theme...

Victoria Beckham has released a capsule eyewear collection to a limited list of only four international retailers worldwide. The seemingly desert-inspired collection of reflective updated-aviator styles are exclusively available in the region at Boutique 1...

Victoria Beckham eyewear is fast becoming one of the most coveted names when it comes to shading the peepers of the aspirational and fashion conscious. The new capsule collection for Autumn/Winter 15 is cued up to be an instant classic. It has a focus on innovative design, bold colour and superior quality, the new 'Classic Victoria Aviator' takes inspiration yet evolves from the existing best-selling aviator styles.

The collection is defined by either the mirrored styles or the leather brow bar style. The mirrored lens styles take their colour and name inspirations from sun soaked landscapes much like our own here in the Middle East with styles such as; 'Sunset' orange, 'Desert Rose' pink, and sandy 'Dune' yellow, seemingly directly influenced by our part of the world. The leathers used on the brow bars of other styles take their cues from elsewhere in the Victoria Beckham accessories collection with more muted hues such as; 'Linen' and 'Powder Blue.'

The collection is being launched in partnership with only four international retailers with Boutique 1 acting as the exclusive outlet in the region, as well as Barneys New York, Harvey Nichols and Net-a-Porter.

This is the first eyewear collection that not only continues the ongoing partnership with Cutler and Gross, but is also created with direct input from a variety of specialised local workshops and studios within the Valdobbiadene region in Italy. The unique expertise offered by these studios, encompasses both artisanal techniques and modern technological advancements. This together with the world's original lens makers, Zeiss, providing the high-grade lenses and the use of precious 18kt gold-dipped and platinum metals on the frames all adds up to some premium eyewear style.
