Following on from a Dries Van Noten partnership in New York, the retailer's esteemed window display, which is making its debut early this week, celebrates the upcoming "Magritte: The Mystery of the Ordinary. 1926-1938" exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago, opening on June 24.
In 2008, Delvaux introduced a bag inspired by surreal artist René Magritte, the 'Ceci n'est pas un Delvaux' - a nod to Magritte's famous 'The Treachery of Images' painting, with the bag also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the brand's signature 'Le Brilliant' shape.
In respect of the upcoming Chicago exhibition, Delvaux will be releasing a numbered, limited edition production of just 10 of the styles bags for $7,350 each, exclusively at Barneys.
