'Reely and Truly'

Grolsch Filmworks has partnered up with DoBeDo and Somesuch to create 'Reely and Truly' – a unique 30-minute documentary directed by Londoner Tyrone Lebon

Featuring photographers such as Juergen Teller, Sean Vegezzi, Jason Evans, Lina Scheynius, Ari Marcopoulos, Lele Saveri and many more, Tyrone Lebon's new short film, Reely and Truly, examines the world of photography and its various pioneers. The 32-year-old director who is a major voice in fashion, places people that are usually behind the lens in front of it, giving us a rare and detailed insight into their creative worlds.

"The cinematography of the documentary is a love letter to analog filmmaking and photographic techniques in a time of transition to digital technologies," stated Grolsch Filmworks. "Shot on all available celluloid formats (including 65mm, 35mm, super 16mm, 16mm, and super 8mm) and using a range of techniques including animation and film scratching by artist Barry Kamen, and Tyrone's brother Frank Lebon. The film has a free structure with an unconventional narrative, taking on the form of a visual poem."
