The UAE National Day Parade and Burj Khalifa Light Display
Downtown Dubai celebrates 42nd UAE National Day in style
There are hundreds of celebratory events taking place throughout National Day weekend, yet few match the sheer scale and panache of the parade that explodes along Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai. The event kicks off a multitude of happenings to mark the occasion – other festivities include massive firework displays in Dubai, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, an aerobatics show, two car parades and a women-only beach celebration in the UAE capital.
The Parade at Downtown Dubai is an event that keeps growing each year, and has quickly established itself as a proud tradition to celebrate the birth of the UAE nation. This year it was bigger and better than ever.
From families to biker clubs and entire school classes, government entities and businesses, the people of Dubai appeared in droves to witness the fun, patriotic proceedings...
After the parade, the world's tallest building – The Burj Khalifa – was decorated in UAE national flag colours for the duration of the evening, closing what proved to be a fantastic day of celebrations for the city, as well as the United Arab Emirates nation. A very happy 42nd National Day from Buro 24/7 Middle East!
