From fashion to food and art, The Station is set to become the place to go for your fashion and culture fix. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

The Galleria is set to launch The Station, a new pop-up concept that gathers the best in lifestyle and culture in the capital. The brainchild of Abu Dhabi-based fashion designer Searina Abdel Kader, the event is designed primarily as a platform to showcase local and regional talents and will feature the best in fashion, food, arts and entertainment.

"My dream was to create an event that didn't simply have commercial objectives in mind, rather supporting up and coming talent and giving them a platform to sell and showcase their brands," said Abdel Kader. "The name reflects the concept as the word 'station' refers to a place where a train would usually stop along a railway line. It reflects a temporary transition in one's life or it can be interpreted as the experiential end destination."

Adding to the concept are fashion labels FMM by Fatma Al Mulla, MIM Design (pictured above) and Kandor T. In addition to the designers, food trucks will provide culinary adventures, beauty stations will provide the latest treatments, while a pop-up art exhibition will put the spotlight on local artists.

The Station will run from March 2-19, 2016, at The Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi.
