Stay calm...Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are going to sing 'Shallow' at the 2019 Oscars
It's going to be emosh
This might well be the best news ever for A Star is Born fans — Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, the two main stars of the film, will perform the sell-out hit Shallow at this year's Oscars.
Ever since the movie was released late last year, the world has practically mythologised the chemistry between Gaga and Cooper (who directed the film as well as played the lead). And most recently, the pair performed the song together at Gaga's Engima Residency in Las Vegas.
The film has received a lot of love this awards season. Firstly, Shallow won at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards and then Lady Gaga won Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Awards (tied with legend Glenn Close) and now for the 2019 Oscars, the film is nominated for eight awards including Best Motion Picture, Best Original Song, Best Actor for Bradley Cooper and Best Actress for Lady Gaga.
In and amongst all that, the pair will take to the stage to belt out the song on Oscar night while the world (us very much included) soaks up all the emotion. Be sure to have some tissues on hand...
