The Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth II have been transformed into the iconic characters of ‘The Simpsons’ by Italian illustrator Alexsandro Palombo

Creating a series of "Simpsonized" versions of the iconic royals, Alexsandro Palombo has taken almost every outfit the most fashionable royal – Kate Middleton – has ever worn and depicted her with the cartoon's iconic yellow skin. The artist has skillfully managed to depict Queen Elizabeth II – complete with her infamous monotone dresses and hats.

What is rather shocking is that Alexsandro Palombo actually does not work for The Simpsons in real life – although clearly there is a huge talent there should they wish to sign him up. Palombo has also depicted Marge Simpson in iconic pop outfits – such as Geri Halliwell's union jack dress and Holly Golightly, a.k.a Audrey Hepburn's iconic black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's
