Sheikh Mohammed announces record growth for the UAE in 2014

The UAE has experienced its strongest year of economic growth in the country's history, according the figures from the National Bureau of Statistics, announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
2014 was a year of extraordinary growth seeing GDP rise by 4.6 percent, with nominal gross domestic product reaching AED1.47 trillion ($400 billion).
Sheikh Mohammed has said that this trajectory of growth is expected to continue in 2015 thanks to some large scale developments that are in progress that include growth to airports, including Dubai airport which is the busiest airport in the world.
"Today we have a robust and diversified economic base, great confidence in the environment and the stability of our country, sureness and expertise to deal with a range of scenarios, and great optimism about the future and the projects we have launched," said Sheikh Mohammed.
