Prada announce jury for 'Prada Journal' competition
Tishani Doshi, Carlo Feltrinelli, Paolo Giordano and Colum McCann
Following the success of the launch of ‘Prada Journal’ last year, which received 1,300 submissions from across the globe, Prada are ramping up for the sophomore edition of the visionary writing competition. The luxury fashion house are once again partnering with Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore, a prestigious Italian publishing company, for the event.
News on Wednesday revealed the names of the esteemed jury panel who will decide the winner, which includes: Indian poet, writer and dancer Tishani Doshi; Carlo Feltrinelli, chief executive officer of Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore, as well as novelists Paolo Giordano and Colum McCann.
The winner of the award won’t be announced until January 9, 2015 during an award ceremony which will take place in Prada’s home town of Milan.
The theme for ‘Prada Journal’ is cleverly conceived to coincide with the launch of Prada’s new eyewear collection and is centred around ‘vision’ asking writers to base their works on their own unique vision of the world.
