One World Trade Center opens for business in New York

Welcoming its first employees

More than 13 years after the original towers were destroyed in the 9/11 attacks, New York's World Trade Center has re-opened for business

The 104-storey single tower building that has been built on the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York site has opened its doors for business, welcoming its first employees from publishing giant Condé Nast. A positive move for the company following recent redundancy rumours.

The $3.8billion skyscraper took eight years to build, and is now the tallest building in the US.

One World Trade Center stands at the centre of the Ground Zero site, which includes a memorial in the footprints of the old towers and a museum, which opened earlier this year.
