The Duke and Duchess of Sussex just launched their own Instagram account
Um, hey guys!
Welcome to the Insta-sphere Meghan Markle and Prince Harry! We're so happy to have you around. The royal couple are officially @-able now with their new account: @SussexRoyal. This is huge. Can you tell we're just a teeny, little bit, MASSIVELY excited about all this?
So, after it was declared that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be in their own separate royal household to Prince William and Kate Middleton, they set up their Insta page. And here it is, brand spanking new...
The couple have gone for a very findable and intuitive handle – @SussexRoyal – with Harry and Meghan's official logo as their profile picture. Kicking off their 'gram game, their first post is a carousel of highlights from their trips around the world.
So far they're following 21 accounts between: @sentebale, @londonmarathon, @royalmarines, @theroyalfamily, @kensingtonroyal and @rhinoconservationbotswana. Basically, these are all the organisations that the Duke and Duchess are affiliated with/or patrons of.
What this means is, we'll be getting news and updates from the 'horse's mouth' so to speak. Because right now, we normally rely on @kensingtonpalace for royal updates. We can't wait to see how far into the 'gram game they'll go. Maybe they'll even post a pic of Baby Sussex before anyone else?! Oh the possibilities!
To say we followed the account at Usain Bolt speed would be an understatement...
Even Instagram couldn't quite believe it, commenting on the couple's first post: "Ummm... hello! Welcome <3. We are so happy you are here."
