The Emirates Identity Authority – EIDA – has released a new app to allow Emirati and Gulf citizens to renew their ID cards in just 2 minutes from their smartphones. The user-friendly app will be available to residents during the first quarter of 2014. The app is set to allow users to follow up on the status of their applications at anytime from their smartphone, as well as to encourage customers to easily register, update and renew their credentials with the alert feature as a reminder.
