Leica unveils a 2.7-metre killer whale design for new exhibition

By Stickyline for '7 Digital Originals'

Shining a spotlight on the importance of handicraft photos and bringing photography into a new creative realm, Leica presents the Hong Kong edition of its '7 Digital Originals' exhibition series

A 2.7-metre whale has been created as part of unique project that Leica has commissioned. The renowned camera manufacturer issued a new Leica T to seven artisans from across the United States, Europe and Asia, inviting them to create special pieces using Leica cameras – the artists then documented the process behind-the-scenes in their workshops.

The latest exhibition in Asia will highlight local artists, Stickyline, who specialise in transforming 2D-style images into 3D geometric sculptures using only folded paper.

The event will launch on October 8, and be hosted at the WOAW store, allowing those in attendance to interact with various entrepreneurs, influencers and the artists themselves, as well as look at examples of their work – including the nearly three-meter long killer whale that was specifically created for the Leica collaboration.
