The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have revealed that their second baby is expected to be born in April – marking the first time that Kensington Palace have specified a birth month for a royal pregnancy

In the statement released today, Kensington Palace also confirmed that Kate Middleton's acute morning sickness – which has kept her out of the public eye for some weeks now – continues to improve.

The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to welcome the Singapore President Tony Tan to the UK when he arrives on a four-day state visit this week. There are also hopes that she will attend the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2014 award ceremony.
