Jay Z takes to Twitter to defend his music-streaming business Tidal
Jay Z is a man of few words, he rarely agrees to interviews and even more rarely speaks out on social media, which is why the world has taken particular notice of recent flurry on Twitter, defending his music streaming business Tidal. Using the hashtag #TidalFacts Mr.Carter unleashed a 'stream of consciousness' defending the service and addressing some of the 'smear campaigns' that have been launched against the one month young new company.
Jay Z asserts that "Tidal is doing just fine" pointing out that the competitors for Tidal have been running for 9 years or so, citing iTunes Store and Spotify. He returns to the company mission statement saying that "Tidal is where artists can give their fans more, without the middleman." He ends on a humorous note saying: "We are human (even Daft Punk ha.) We aren't perfect – but we are determined."
