The Fondation Louis Vuitton announces new showcase opening in June 2015
Following the 'Keys to Passion' exhibition
The Frank Gehry-designed Fondation Louis Vuitton has revealed its third phase, and new hang for its permeanent collection, following the Keys to Passion exhibition. The collection – Hang 3 – will feature a range of artworks focusing on its popist and music / sound lines and open to the public on June 3.
Artists showcased in the popist axis include Jennifer Allora & Guillermo Calzadilla, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Mohamed Bourouissa, Gilbert & George, Andreas Gursky, Bertrand Lavier, Adam McEwen, Michel Majerus, Christian Marclay, Philippe Parreno, Richard Prince, Sturtevant, and Andy Warhol.
Whilst the music / sound axist will feature sculptural and video installations and include works from artists such as Marina Abramovic, Pilar Albarracín, Ziad Antar, Ulla von Brandenburg, John Cage, Rineke Dijkstra, Cyprien Gaillard, Douglas Gordon, Mark Leckey, Philippe Parreno, Jaan Toomik, and Hannah Weinberger.
