Nicole Fahri to debut sculpture show at LFW

The French designer unleashes her artistic side

This week, as designers unveil their Spring/Summer 15 collections, one designer will be presenting a show, but with no clothes in it...

For the first time ever Nicole Farhi will be staging an art show during London Fashion Week. The designer has recently said adieu to the fashion industry, and become a sculptor, with her unique showcase set to open at London's Bowman Sculpture on September 16 until October 3.

Works will include busts of Dame Judi Dench, Helena Bonham-Carter, Tom Stoppard, Vogue's Anna Wintour, Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon and Eduardo Paolozzi.

"The sculpting process is demanding because so many elements are involved. You have to create a work of art which can be viewed from so many different angles, and you have to feel it works from each." Farhi told WWD about her new career.
