Featuring key contributors from the world of art, a new book highlighting Saudi’s contemporary art scene is set to make its Dubai debut

Taking place at the Art Dubai Modern Terrace during Art Dubai, Contemporary Kingdom: The Saudi Art Scene Now, a new book which made its first appearance during the '21,39' Jeddah Arts initiative, will experience its Dubai debut. Canvas magazine Editor Myrna Ayad, art patron Faisal Tamer, and Saudi artist Manal Al-Dowayan will host a panel discussion touching on various aspects of the book. Following this, the '21,39' Jeddah Arts team will offer highlights of the inaugural event in February as well as sharing details of upcoming initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

The 360-page book edited by Myrna Ayad, includes a foreword by HRH Princess Jawaher Bint Majed Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President of the Al-Mansouria Foundation, and contributions from art specialists from around the world. The book illustrates the growth of the Saudi art market, the artists, galleries, educational programmes and public institutions, in addition to the patronage system and the rise of a new generation of young collectors.

The event will take place at the Art Dubai Modern Terrace on March 19 at 5pm.
