Calvin Klein to honour Sienna Miller, Rachel Weisz, Emily Blunt, and more at Cannes
Celebrating women in film
This year's Cannes Film Festival is all about females for Calvin Klein Inc (CKI), who is continuing with its tradition of honouring women in film. Calvin Klein Inc will be hosting an exclusive event at a private Riviera villa in collaboration with Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) and Euphoria Calvin Klein on May 18.
Actresses Rachel Weisz, Emily Blunt, Isabelle Huppert, Mélanie Laurent and Sienna Miller will be the guests of honour as the event pays tribute to these five women and their contribution to film. Past years' honorees include Nicole Kidman, Uma Thurman, Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong'o and Julianne Moore who said, "Calvin Klein has been an amazing supporter of the arts, and of women in film in particular."
As well as honouring these internationally recognised actresses, CKI and IFP are said to be giving away the Euphoria Calvin Klein Spotlight on Women Filmmakers 'Live the Dream' grant, which is aimed at supporting female directors by contributing towards their filmmaking projects.
