Bulgari pledge €500,000 to help children and families in Nepal affected by the earthquake
With Save The Children
Bulgari has come forward in supporting Save the Children's humanitarian efforts in the wake of the tragic earthquake that devastated Nepal less than a week ago. Pledging a €500,000 donation, Bulgari hopes to help normalise the lives and living conditions of the children and families affected by the catastrophic event.
The decision to step in and take meaningful action was a swift one from Bulgari, who is already planning a long term partnership with the Save the Children charity organisation when the natural disaster occurred. Plans for a new youth empowerment project in Nepal had already been in discussion for 2016 but the light of the current situation, more urgent requirements are taking priority at this time.
Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bulgari Group said of the donation: "The earthquake in Nepal has had such devastating consequences," he says. "We need to do as much as we can, and as quickly as we can. The children and their families are our first priority. Especially in the critical area of nutrition which is the focus of Milano 2015 Universal Exhibition where we already collaborate with STC on this crucial theme."
