British Monarchy confirms Kate Middleton's pregnancy
Second child for Royal couple
Following weeks of expectant news from Buckingham Palace, there has been an official announcement to confirm that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will welcome another child into their royal family.
It was revealed that the Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. The baby will be the fourth in line to the British throne.
As with her first pregnancy, the Duchess is suffering with hyperemesis gravidarum – acute morning sickness, and will therefore no longer accompany William on their planned engagement in Oxford today and is instead being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.
The duchess gave birth to the couple's first child – Prince George of Cambridge – on July 22 last year.
