The Italian designer and Chinese filmmaker celebrate in Cannes

Giorgio Armani and director Jiang Wen celebrate their new joint film 'Gone With the Bullets' at a party during the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival

Working with art director William Chang and film director Jiang Wen, the new adventure-film will be set in Shanghai in the 20s and see Armani's unique style throughout. The Italian designer provided costumes for the lead characters played by Ge You, Shu Qi, Zhou Yun, Wang Zhiwen, Wen Zhang and director Wen himself.

"I am so pleased to cooperate with Jiang Wen, one of the most outstanding filmmakers and actors in China, on this movie," said Armani, "I have always been fascinated by the Eastern metropolis of Shanghai, for its unique style and charm, from the past to the future, connecting the East and the West."

 This isn't Armani's first time in the film industry, as he most recently supplied costumes for The Wolf of Wall StreetGone with the Bullets is set for release in China on December 18 and will reach international screens by January.
