These legends are teaming up with World Health Organization and Global Citizen to host a virtual concert

"One World: Together At Home"
Mark your calendars for April 18 as a slew of artists and Hollywood personalities are set to host a virtual concert...

Between apocalyptic cities and living in lockdown, we’ve been swarmed with a daily dose of depressing headlines — most from the World Health Organization. However now, finally some good news emerged from its virtual press conference on Monday evening.

WHO and Global Citizen announced that they’ve teamed up for “One World: Together at Home”, an international special airing that brings together a Lady Gaga-curated virtual concert.

The Oscar-winning singer and actress is teaming with WHO and Global Citizen to headline one big concert for coronavirus relief.

Curated in collaboration with Gaga, the broadcast will include several other high-profile personalities such as Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder.

According to WWD, the artist announced the concert during the WHO’s media briefing. “We are all so very grateful to all of the health-care professionals across the country, around the world, who are on the frontlines of COVID-19. This global pandemic is a catastrophe. I am so thankful to them and I am praying for those who are sick.”

Whilst the concert isn’t a fundraiser, Gaga explains it’s rather “where we need to tell the stories of and celebrate the frontline communities, health-care workers and their acts of kindness.”

The “One World: Together at Home” virtual concert will be broadcast on April 18. For more information on where you can watch it, head to who.int.
