Who wrote 'Diamonds' and can sing it better?
The Australian talent who wrote Rihanna's hit
Sia Furler is hardly a household name – a great shame considering her contribution to music. Here is a woman who, in the past, has worked with Zero 7 on their third album, The Garden, in May 2006, and collaborated with the likes of Christina Aguilera, Eminem, David Guetta, Flo Rida, Afrojack, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Rita Ora, Britney Spears, Jessie J and Celine Dion. All as famous as the next one. Furler also co-wrote and featured on the Billboard Hot 100 top ten hit, Titanium with DJ David Guetta, and Wild Ones with rapper Flo Rida. Both of which achieved international success.
Furthermore, few people know that Furler penned Rihanna's #1 single Diamonds, and whilst she may be laughing her way to the bank with all of the royalties she must have built up over her impressive, behind-the-scenes career – we wanted to highlight her talent. It is for this reason we are sharing this video of Sia performing Diamonds at the Norwegian-American Achievement Awards ceremony in 2012. No stage set, no crazy costume, no effects, just pure talent... Enjoy!
