Surprise! Beyoncé released a new album overnight
Overnight, Beyoncé pulled a Beyoncé and released another surprise album. This one is called Homecoming and features a whopping 40 tracks.
The release coincides with the launch of her new Netflix documentary of the same name which chronicles the lead-up to her epic, one-for-the-history books set at Coachella last year.
The album is made up of live recordings from the performance of some of her classics like Crazy In Love and Formation as well as new tracks Before I Let Go (a cover of Franke Beverly and Maze's 1981 song that serves as the end credits track) and I Been On. It also features Say My Name, the Destiny's Child smash hit she performed with former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams during her set.
Much like her joint album with Jay-Z last year, the album is available exclusively on global streaming services, in addition to her husband's service Tidal. And given the global excitement over the release, we suspect it will be just as big of a hit (if not bigger). The Queen is back, baby.
