August 28–30

Buro 24/7 Middle East's editors pick five new tunes from today's freshest music to get you ready for the weekend...

As the month of August comes to an end, Buro 24/7 Middle East have brought together eight songs which sum up this month's relaxing Summer mood, from the smooth sounds of The Weeknd to alt-J's new acoustic track.

From the upcoming album This Is All Yours, Alt-J kicks off our playlist with the Indie band's more rock-influenced sound in Every Other Freckle. Keeping the relaxed vibes – and after her epic 16 minute VMA performance last week – we chose Beyonce's catchy ballad, Mine featuring Drake.

Coming in at number 3 with a his ambient new song is Atlanta-singer Raury – a musical gem which we found this month – with his piano-and-guitar-based track, Amor. Up next, is another young musician who is taking the internet scene by storm, Spooky Black and his electronic serenade, Reason.

Bringing the base deeper and vocals higher at number 5 is The Weeknd and his most recent track King Of The Fall, while musical duo Aquilo gives us the chills with their eerie and mesmerising tune Part of Your Life at number 6. Next, bringing this month's last weekend playlist to an end is a song by London-based musician Layla and the Aquilo remix of her song Black Mud, and Dawn Golden's tune All I Want.
