Coachella confirms Beyonce is out, Lady Gaga is in as headline act
From Lemonade to Joanne
It's official! Lady Gaga has taken over the headlining slot from Beyonce at this year's Coachella. Taking to Instagram to confirm the announcement, Lady Gaga posted the new concert line-up poster along with the caption: "Let's party in the desert!"
The switch, which was due to Beyonce's pregnancy, was confirmed by Coachella officials who said: "Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival."
Despite dropping out of this year's festival, Beyonce has been confirmed as a headline act for Coachella 2018 instead. Coachella will run from April 14-16 and April 21-23, 2017 at the Coachella Valley. For more information, visit coachella.com.
