Shortlist announced for GAP recording contest
Regional artists battling to win a dream recording opportunity
The shortlist of winners for the GAP Recording Room contest, a collaboration between TripleW.me's Makshoof Music and GAP, to support emerging artists in the GCC, has been announced.
Over 100 artists from across the region entered the music contest, which will see one lucky winner go on to win the prize of spending one week at Grouse Lodge - a recording studio located in Ireland, where world-famous artists including Muse and Snow Patrol have recorded some of their most critically-acclaimed records.
Five talented acts were selected from the original entries chosen by a judging panel made up of music industry professionals - with GAP funding each of the acts to record their own music video to enter the charts on Triplew.me's Makshoof Music platform.
The five that made the cut include Tarek Sidani from Qatar, The Craig Perry Band from the UAE, Phsyical Graffiti from the UAE, The Relocators from Bahrain, and Mr.Fari from Kuwait.
People are encouraged to show support through video plays and online shares on Triplewme's website, which will help to move up the acts' ranking on Makshoof Music charts.
The three artists with the highest online video engagement will be put forward for consideration of the judging panel, and one will win the recording opportunity at Grouse Lodge Studios, in Ireland.
