A comprehensive breakdown of the rich list this year

Forbes has put together an updated and comprehensive list of the 27 highest earning musicians during 2013, with Madonna claiming first place.

The singer-songwriter, actress, author, director, entrepreneur and philanthropist took the top spot for netting $125 million over the past year. It seems that the majority of her earnings came from the tail end of her MDNA Tour, which grossed $305 million. This is in conjunction with her 'Material Girl' clothing line, Truth or Dare fragrance, and other merchandise products.
