
Dolly Parton to play Glastonbury 2014
"It really doesn't get much better than this..."
Dolly Parton made an announcement on Twitter this morning, saying: "I'm incredibly excited to FINALLY announce that the #BlueSmokeWorldTour is coming to @GlastoFest on June 29th!"
Emily Eavis, co-organiser of the festival also tweeted: "We are delighted to say that Dolly is coming to Glastonbury... It really doesn't get much better than this!"
The star follows in the foootsteps of the Rolling Stones, who headlined last year.
The Glastonbury Festival in the UK is a four day celebration of music, held from June 25-29
Debbie Harry, frontwoman of iconic Seventies band Blondie, has also revealed that her five piece will be appearing on the line-up. At the NME Awards this week, the fellow 68-year-old said, "We just heard today – we're going to be doing Glastonbury."
