Behind the scenes of Kanye West's Yeezus show
An inside look
Live entertainment has never been as exciting as it has this year. Huge arenas, wild set designs, and extremely high tech visuals and lighting have gone into so many of our favourite pop icons concerts - delivering way more than just some music, but rather a full on spectacle. Who can take the cake for best show of the year? So many artists to choose from, but Buro 24/7 crowns Kanye West for his ambitious yet spectacular Yeezus tour.
Combining fashion, dance, architecture and of course music, Kanye created a grand but very cohesive multi censorial performance. With over 10 couture outfit changes, a 50 foot tall constructed mountain, a LED screen projecting strong visuals, and a team of incredible dancers - the show was not one to miss.
"The Yeezus Tour will be remembered for its seamless balancing of all elements of the arts, while Kanye West himself will be known as the architect of this creative endeavor," Interiors writes.
During his performance, Kanye also aired a short movie - The Holy Mountain - that was made of five chapters: Fighting, Rising, Falling, Searching and Finding - that was more thematic than visual. They told a story of his journey to self realization and self discovery - as well as gave him an opportunity for a slight break for wardrobe changes. Dipping his toes into all elements of art and culture, Kanye's Yeezus Tour has officially become a moment in pop culture history.
