Beats Music: Dr Dre's latest music streaming venture launches tomorrow
Including soon to be launched services from Google and Neil Young, the Beats already booming enterprise by Dr Dre just continues to grow by using its own team's know-how to sell music to the public.
Think expert-made playlists rather than relying on algorithms to point listeners in the direction of new music, ambassadors for the brand including the rap magazine XXL, the Latin station Latino 96.3 and the country publication Country Weekly – all in aid of a made-to-measure experience.
Beats Music promises listeners who pay a small monthly subscription an endless musical playlist based on "where you are, what you feel like doing, who you're with, and what kind of music you're looking to hear".
Dr Dre has explained the move by saying, "Everything in my life has been about sound and making music, so Beats represents just that," continuing, "Everything that I do is for sound goals. It comes from my gut. When I'm sitting in the studio, a mix isn't done till I feel it in my gut..."
"It takes a highly curated, uninterrupted sequence of songs to achieve a fulfilling music experience." Added Dre's business partner Jimmy Iovine.
