Legendary electronic music artist Richard D. James, known as Aphex Twin, is set to release an incredibly rare, unheard piece of music through the world's largest funding platform, Kickstarter

After originally listing the LP on Discogs - a database for rare music on vinyl records and CD's - for $13,500, the owner of an unreleased 1994 Aphex Twin album, Caustic Window, has struck up a deal with electronic music forum We Are The Music Makers (WATMM) to sell the album for $8,368.

Now WATMM will offer 500 people from around in the world the chance to receive a digital copy of the album through the rather unusual form of Kickstarter, with a price tag of $16 each.

Once the Kickstarter limit is reached, the physical copy of the LP will be posted on eBay, with all proceeds being split evenly between Rephlex Records, Aphex Twin, the Kickstarter funders and a charity that's yet to be decided on.
