She may not be Time magazine's person of the year, but she's making sure she continues to shock and inspire us right to the very last weeks on 2014...
Today, the 33-year-old mother of one shared a unique tell-all short film called Yours and Mine – releasing it on the one-year anniversary of her self-titled visual album.
"When you're famous, no one looks at you as a human anymore," Beyoncé notes in the 11-minute short film. "You become the property of the public. There's nothing real about it."
"You can't put your finger on who I am," the most nominated female Grammy-Award winner of all time muses, "I can't put my finger on who I am."
She also shares that her mother taught her "never be a victim." Adding that her mother always told her "Never make excuses," and "Never expect anyone else to provide for me things that I know I can provide for myself."
Mrs. Carter then goes on to explore her own experiences as a mother: "A woman has to provide so much for her children," Beyonce says. "I consider myself a humanist."
