Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Caroline of Hanover host Bal de la Rose 2015 at a star studded Art Deco-themed evening, styled by Karl Lagerfeld. Lily Allen took to the stage as the evening's headline entertainment, decked in a bespoke Lagerfeld creation...

Stars and VIP guests were treated to a royally good time at the annual Bal de la Rose in Monaco, over the weekend, in Art Deco style. The event, which launched in 1954 by Princess Grace of Monaco is a charity event held in honour the Princess' foundation, that benefits a number of children's hospitals. This year's Art Deco theme saw the glamour throw back to the glitzy days of the Twenties and Thirties.

Princess Caroline of Hanover lead the style stakes with gently finger-waved hair pulled back into a chic up-do and a beautiful dropped waist silk gown embellished with authentic beading at the waist belt, finished with an Art Deco styled diamond necklace befitting of royalty. Friend of the palace, Karl Lagerfeld, was also in attendance, favouring the royal event over the opening of the retrospective exhibition in his honour at The Art and Exhibition Hall in Germany. And with good reason, given that he designed the 'La Rose Art Deco' themed invitations and the dramatic and brightly coloured performance costume for headline performer – Lily Allen

Joining the highly-in-demand designer and British songstress at the glamorous Sale des Étoiles were the entire royal family of Monaco, with the exception of Princess Charlene (who decided to stay home to take care of the couple's twins, who are only 3 months old) and Vogue Italia's editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani.

The evening began with a charity raffle, a lot of 12 bottles of Perrier- Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé Cubee 2006, two Louis Vuitton bags, one Repossi necklace and a look from Chanel's SS15 collection, were all up for grabs. The evening continued with a dance performance in honour of Josephine Baker, followed by the presentation of the soul man, Faada Freddy, before the headline star Lily Allen took to the stage to entertain the crowd, sporting a flapper-inspired blunt bob hair style and wearing her bespoke Lagerfeld creation. After the show, William Wilson & Doppelgänger took over the soundtrack duties for the packed dance floor.
