Vanity Fair hosts cocktail party to mark the opening of Tribeca Film Festival 2015
Robert De Niro, Diane Von Furstenberg, Ivanka Trump and more
Last night saw New York’s power players converge on the New York State Supreme Courthouse for a Vanity Fair Tribeca Film Festival cocktail party, hosted by Graydon Carter, Ronald Perelman, and the festival’s co-founder Robert De Niro. This year marks a significant year in the history of the festival, which was founded by De Niro together with Jane Rosenthal, as an antidote to the atrocity of 9/11, with the aim of injecting some economic and social buoyancy back into the battered lower Manhattan. Now in its 14th year, the festival opening party looks on at the newly operational rebuilt Freedom World Trade Tower.
De Niro did his host duties impeccably, greeting guests at the top of the grand venue's imposing stair case, which had been clad in red carpet and flooded with spotlights for the occasion. Stars including; Harvey Keitel, Governor Andrew Cuomo, Ivanka Trump, Diane von Furstenberg, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, and Constance Jablonski flowed through the doors to celebrate this jovial year in the festival’s history.
