Sienna Miller to star in Jane Austen adaptation
The new movie entitled Jane Austen's Love & Friendship, will see Miller feature in the lead role as a manipulative and beautiful widow who's mission in life is to find a new husband for herself and her daughter. Chloë Sevigny will also star as the close friend of Miller's character.
The new adaptation will be directed by Whit Stillman - who was behind the Oscar-nominated Metropolitan as well as The Last Days of Disco, in which Sevigny also starred. "The other two early novels Jane Austen wrote became Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility," Stillman told Screen Daily. "The story of the brilliant Lady Susan Vernon's struggles with the wealthy, smug De Courcy clan is perhaps her most sparkling comedy. In our search for the right Susan, Sienna Miller showed how the role might be infused with freshness and verve. She is a wonderful talent who will lead a brilliant ensemble cast."
