Paying homage to the artists from Memphis Tennessee
Take Me to the River is an inspiring new feature documentary that celebrates the inter-generational and inter-racial musical influence of Memphis in the light of discrimination and segregation.
The film - which is due out this September - brings a variety of multiple generations of award-winning musicians from Memphis and Mississippi Delta (where one of the earliest styles of blues music originated), and follows them through the creative process of recording in Memphis in its heyday.
Terrence Howard, Terrence Howard, William Bell, Snoop Dogg, Mavis Staples, Otis Clay, and many more feature in the film.
