Gaspard Ulliel and Léa Seydoux star in unapproved 'Saint Laurent' trailer
A deeper and darker look into the life of the French designer
The first film, which was released last month, Yves Saint Laurent, was officially approved by Saint Laurent's long-time business partner, Pierre Bergé, and given access to the YSL archives. Now, the trailer for the second film, called Saint Laurent has been released – with an entirely French trailer and no subtitles – its still clear to see that the film's focus delves more into the designers troubled life.
The short clip features a strong view on Saint Laurent's relationship with Bergé and ongoing battle with his taboo lifestyle. This film also has a more star-powered cast than Yves Saint Laurent, with César-award winner Gaspard Ulliel playing the lead role of Saint Laurent, Miu Miu face Léa Seydoux playing the muse Loulou de la Falaise, and model Aymeline Valade as the role of Betty Catroux.
