Minority Report gets the green light for TV series

Spielberg back at the helm

The hit film, 'Minority Report,' is set to become a TV series some 13 years after screening in cinemas. The new series received the green light this pilot season and will be produced by Steven Spielberg's production company...

The 2002 hit sci-fi film, Minority Report, will be getting a TV revival thanks to the Fox network, who have commissioned a series of the film spin-off following a successful pilot season earlier this year. The new series will pick up ten years after John Anderton (Tom Cruise's character) unpicked the pre-crime unit, and focus on one of the former pre-cogs, who once was in charge of foreseeing future crimes and alerting the police, who stopped them before they happened.

The film was originally directed by Steven Spielberg and his Amblin TV company will be producing the small screen series. Mr. Cruise is not expected to be making an appearance but the show will star; Meagan Good, Stark Sands, Wilmer Valderrama and Daniel London.
