First Monday in May: Behind the scenes of the Met Gala
The annual Met Gala plays host to one of fashion's biggest nights. Now, the team behind the exclusive night are releasing a behind-the-scenes look at the planning of the 2015 ball. Directed by Andrew Rossi, The First Monday in May is a feature movie, which follows curator Andrew Bolton and Vogue's Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, as they navigate the planning process for the 2015 Met Gala, China: Through the Looking Glass. Watch as painstakingly planned guest lists are reworked, performers are confirmed, curated couture is put into place and the red carpet is rolled out.
The newly released trailer for the movie includes commentary from fashion greats including Karl Lagerfeld and Jean Paul Gaultier.
The First Monday in May will be showcased at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 13, 2016, before being released in cinemas on April 15, 2016.
