A MEGHAN AND HARRY DOCU-SERIES IS COMING TO NETFLIX
An insight into their lives
The former Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly hired Oscar-nominated director, Liz Garbus, to helm their upcoming Netflix docu-series. According to Page Six, Harry and Meghan tapped the director – mostly recognised for her acclaimed projects such as Love, Marilyn, What Happened, Miss Simone?, and on season four of The Handmaid’s Tale – with which they've been working for more than a year as part of their multi-million dollar deal with the streamer.
According to the news outlet, Garbus was spotted in the background with the couple during their trip to New York last September. The former British royals were reportedly accompanied by a small camera crew who hid their equipment in effort to keep details of the ‘top-secret project’ under wraps.
The camera crew shadowed the couple as they attended a red carpet gala aboard the USS Intrepid on the Hudson River to honour military veterans, as well as during lunch at New Jersey’s Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst military facility and followed their visit to The Hague for the Invictus Games earlier this year.
Although no representatives from Netflix or Archwell Productions have commented on the upcoming docu-series, this isn't the first time we've heard about Harry and Meghan's deal with the streaming service. So, we're crossing our fingers that this project comes to fruition. Stay tuned for updates.
