Saudi-born, Beirut-based designer is chosen to dress Lady Gaga for her TV appearance

American Horror Story is back! The fourth season, titled Hotel, sees Lady Gaga make her TV debut as Countess Elizabeth, a blood-sucking character that covets couture. The series' costume designer admitted that Gaga's own style influenced how Elizabeth should dress and the challenge was to combine Gaga's fashion-forward sense of style with that of the classic countess.

Rummaging through fashion archives that included pieces from Saint Laurent and Vivienne Westwood, emerged the perfect look for Elizabeth: a one-off dress from Beirut-based Ashi Studio. The Saudi fashion designer, who launched the brand in 2007, has previously dressed Hollywood stars Camila Alves and Zendaya Coleman.

Gaga's white Ashi Studio dress in the TV show is reminiscent of Ashi's 'Grey Garden' Spring collection in which the dresses are ethereal, flowy and fully-embellished.

"The experience of working with the American Horror Story team has been amazing, their vision for Gaga's character and her style evolution is something I look forward to being a part of" - Ashi

Ashi Studio can be found at Symphony, The Dubai Mall.
