James Franco stars in Daniel Arsham's new short film
With a nine-part series to follow
New York-based artist Daniel Arsham has teamed up with actor and director James Franco for the second installment of his nine-part 'Future Relic' series
Expanding on his usual sculptural body of work, Daniel Arsham's new film depicts the life after humanity's ill-fated attempt to save the earth from ecological destruction, taking viewers on a unique journey through Arsham's works that he has produced over the last few years.
Entitled 'Future Relic 02', James Franco plays the role of a worker who spends his days underground indexing and destroying objects from past society. The short film was shot over four days in Arsham's Brooklyn studio, and is sneak peak of what the artist plans to screen at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
