Blow the dust off your wand because wizardry is about to hit the theatre...

It was always on the cards; Harry Potter is too popular and beloved to just fade away and live life as a happily-married man. Now, he's back, along with his son Albus in the eighth installment of J.K.Rowling's phenomenal franchise.

This one though, will be a play, and Rowling gets help from Jack Thorne and Tony Award-winner John Tiffany in developing a story that gives a glimpse of Potter's life, for the very first time, after that epic battle in the last book then film.

The play, destined for London's West End, will be shown in two parts and intended to be viewed on a single day or on two consecutive days. The play's official synopsis reads, "As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

'Til then, brush up on your spells and get ready to make your way to the Palace Theatre in London on July 30, 2016.
