Cannes 2015: Gucci host Rocco and his Brothers screening
Classic cinema restored
The newly restored version of Luchino Visconti’s Rocco and His Brothers debuted at the 68th Cannes Film Festival, where Gucci President and CEO, Marco Bizzarri, and Gucci Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, hosted a star studded screening to celebrate Gucci’s continued commitment to the preservation and restoration of classic cinema.
The Italian fashion house's collaborative work with The Film Foundation saw a restoration of Rocco e i suoi fratelli, originally made in 1960, brought back to the big screen for the first time in decades.
The film’s original cast Claudia Cardinale and Max Cartier, were in attendance on the red carpet. Together with other international stars such as, Salma Hayek-Pinault, Gianna Jun, Charlotte Casiraghi, Jeanne Damas, Benicio Del Toro (who introduced the film), and Max Cartier, all of whom wore Gucci designs for the occasion.
