Voiced by stars such as Alan Cumming, Evan Rachel Wood, Kristin Chenoweth and Maya Rudolph, 'Strange Magic' is a surprise announcement from the director and the cartoon empire

George Lucas may have said goodbye to the Star Wars franchise but that doesn't mean the filmmaker is at a loss of what to do. Evidently he's also been quietly making a movie – or at least he's written one, in the shape of a new animated film from Lucasfilm Ltd. called Strange Magic.

Touchstone Pictures will release the film in January next year, and by all reports it is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
