FX's preview of TV series adaptation 'Fargo'
Featuring Billy Bob Thornton
In an exciting bout of television news, American channel FX’s newest series Fargo, which will premiere this April, is loosely based on Joel and Ethan Coen's Academy Award winning 1996 film of the same title.
The story follows the life of Lorne Malvo played by Billy Bob Thornton, who's character is described as “a rootless, manipulative man who meets a small town insurance salesman and sets him on a path of destruction."
The eerie short trailer for Fargo has Thornton scraping ice and snow off of his car windshield, while The Ames Brothers’ song, It Only Hurts For a Little While, chillingly plays on his radio — leaving audiences with intense anticipation of what's yet to come in the show's first season.
The daunting new drama is set for a limited 10-episode run, and shares similar elements to FX's hit show 'American Horror Story'.
