The Embassy of France and Institut Français with Alliance Française in the UAE have announced the 'francOfilm Festival 2014' will take place in the UAE. Showcasing the best of international cinema, the festival will run from March 26-29 at VOX Cinemas, Mall of the Emirates, and Abu Dhabi Marina Mall. This is part of other francophone festivities happening during March, which are celebrated worldwide each year.
Held in association with the Dubai International Film Festival and in Abu Dhabi with the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, the festival will showcase a range of top films from countries such as Belgium, Canada, France, Lebanon, and many more. Amongst the impressive line-up is the premiere of Franco Moroccan co-production Rock The Casbah; Cannes film festival selected movie Grisgris; award-winning Lebanese film Heritages; and acclaimed French documentary On The Way To School.
H.E. Michel Miraillet, Ambassador of France to the UAE, says: "francOfilm Festival is a wonderful opportunity for audiences in the UAE to come and enjoy a unique and compelling line-up of films.
